Notable Achievements of Livestock Sector Harinakundu, Jhenaidah:

  1. Increasing the supply of animal protein and eliminating malnutrition by increasing the production of meat, eggs and milk.
  2. Development of employment and socio-economic status at the grassroots level through creation of cattle and poultry farms.
  3. To keep the rural economic activities flowing through raising cattle and poultry.
  4. Empowerment and self-reliance of women by involving them in raising cattle and poultry.
  5. Creation and development of improved and more productive cattle breeds through management of artificial insemination activities.
  6. Reduction in mortality of cattle and poultry through veterinary health and vaccination activities.
  7. Increase in green grass production to fill the shortage of cattle feed.
  8. Distribution of new technologies and equipment among the farmers
