Future Planning

According to Vision 2021, the Upazila Livestock Office, Harinakundu, Jhenaidah is taking various initiatives to meet the per capita demand of milk, meat and eggs at 150 ml / day, 120 g / day and 104 / year respectively. Disease control, surveillance, quality improvement of medical services, disease research and establishment of laboratories. Development of cow, buffalo breeds through expansion of artificial insemination programs to increase the production of dairy and beef breeds and addition of Brahma breeds with higher meat production capacity. In order to increase the supply of animal feed, activities like expansion of improved varieties of grass cultivation, introduction of TMR technology and establishment of laboratory for quality control of animal feed have been undertaken. In addition to ensuring sustainable production of livestock, security of animal meat, meeting the nutritional needs of our people, increasing export earnings and ensuring desired socio-economic development through the participation of the intended population.
